Love of Lambs

As you are aware, Wishing Well Sanctuary became Meadow's forever home one year ago. Rescued moments from becoming someone's Easter dinner, Meadow has become a remarkable and significant member of 'our' animal family and an ambassador for his kind and for all beings faced with similar fates. This is why we have chosen March 26 as a time to celebrate Meadow's one year anniversary here at Wishing Well with a tour and event which celebrates our love of lambs.

    Event Schedule:
  • Tour starts at 12:30. We will meet at our Peace Pole and then proceed to the sheep paddock where we can all share in the experience of feeding our sheep their lunch.
  • Following this we will have a tour of the Sanctuary.
  • Afterward, all are invited to stay for a potluck. Please feel free to bring an item to share. We ask that all items be vegan (free of eggs, dairy and animal products) . We will also provide BBQ veggie burgers at $5 each. Hot and cold drinks will also be available for $2 each.
  • After the potluck, all are invited to join us, big kids and small, in the Wishing Centre to watch Wallace and Gromit -" A Close Shave". This is a delightful claymation story about Wallace and Gromit rescuing a herd of sheep.

Morning session will be "MOGO" - "Do the most good and the least harm." The afternoon session is on Humane Education.

Our MOGO (most good) workshop is part retreat, part personal development, part educational experience, and 100% invaluable to anyone who wishes to make their lives a manifestation of their greatest vision for a more peaceful, sustainable, and humane world.

  A message from Zoe Weil

During this one day workshop you’ll examine what’s most important to you, combine your passions with your talents, and connect with others who share your commitment to live according to their deepest values to create a just, compassionate world for all.

Our interactive, life-transforming MOGO Workshop will help you:
  • Learn how best to help people, animals, the environment, and yourself all at the same time;
  • Increase your knowledge about the interconnectedness of human rights, animal protection, environmental preservation, and issues of media and culture;
  • Gain confidence, skills, and insights for nurturing meaningful systemic change;
  • Communicate with others more compassionately and effectively;
  • Find support and inspiration through a caring community.

The workshop uses the 7 keys of the MOGO principle as a guide for exploring your values and creating a practical action plan to move forward. Throughout the workshop you’ll explore how to:

  1. Live your epitaph;
  2. Pursue joy through service;
  3. Make connections and self-reflect;
  4. Model your message and work for change;
  5. Find and create community;
  6. Take responsibility;
  7. Strive for balance.
