Meet Norman

Norman and Ashli are two Jersey steers who arrived at Wishing Well Sanctuary in March 2014 after being rescued by dedicated animal rights activist, Susan Morris. Susan did a fantastic job hand-raising the pair after they were “left over” at an auction, where they were considered too weak and scraggly to be worthwhile purchasing and were given away to anyone who would take them. Both were tiny (2 days old) when she took them in (Norman, the darker of the two, still had his umbilical cord attached) and hand-raising them took round-the-clock work. Thanks to her efforts, they grew into two beautiful, healthy adults, who have been welcomed into the Wishing Well family after Susan was forced to move due to unforeseen circumstances.
